Mission & Vision

A deep social change is happening in our society as we care more and more about each of our ecological footprints. Where our food has come from, how our cars are made and if we can help make a difference and still have the luxuries we want. Mind to Matter was founded on the principle that we can have it all.

One of the biggest sources of untapped creativity is from our students. Each year thousands of college students write essays and papers about how to improve our economic, social and environmental policies. They write about processes and industrial designs that could make a difference. Mind to Matter is the forum for these students to effect environmental change in their world.

Connecting these students and their ideas with leading engineers, think tanks and open-source style input is what make us different. Mind to Matter is about sharing and discussing in a more open forum. More minds mean quicker advances.

Inspiring adoption of these advances rounds out our strategy. By actively licensing, sharing and promoting the final product, we can see tangible environmental improvement. From the students' mind into a matter of practice: from Mind to Matter.
